Jaldee Cabs is a taxi cab network company headquartered in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. The company has started their operations from Nagpur City on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi, and will scale up their operations in other cities of India. Now they have Cabs for all Occasions. Currently they have fleet of Sedans, Mini Hatchback & SUV cars offering the following services.

Jaldee’s Requirements

We were approached by the team of Jaldee who had a distinctive proposition in the form of a taxi mobile application. The team from Jaldee wanted us to create an application which would be compatible on both Android and iOS platforms, and integrate a few functionalities:

  • Easy Hiring Features: The client’s vision was to completely eradicate the inconsistencies faced by Passengers (Prospective Riders) and Taxi drivers. This called for the creation of an app that ensures a seamless bridging of services for both Passengers and Drivers.
  • Transparent & Accurate : We had to ensure that (as per the client’s vision) there was no need of Haggling for the partakers in the cab ride. For this we had to coalesce robust payment methods and trace the amount for the taxi ride with precision, dispatching detailed receipts, and most importantly ensure fair pricing.

Challenges

Developing the application with all the intended features wasn’t easy, the vision of the client and the features that could be integrated had to be seamless . Our coding team had to make a few things very certain that the app has an clear interface which would be used by both passengers and Taxi drivers.

The app also had to feature map integration for best route options, automatic fare calculation, and payment gateway integration. The GPS integration within the app had to be for the customers as well as the cab drivers find each other whenever required.
